General date: SPLT-142.9268 (Stellar Planetary Life-supporting Transhumanist – yearphase 142.9268)
Star characteristics -- somewhat larger than the sun, in its later stages; has four planets; solar storms frequent; in milky way
Planet characteristics – Very fast spin, large quantities of ammonia on surface and in atmosphere, highly volcanic, glassy crust rich in hydrogen gas and ionic salts, high temperature (allowing silicon-compounds to melt), high pressure (allowing ammonia to condense), carbon present in large quantities in diamond form underground, silicon extremely common. Very little oxygen/water, under or above the ground
Stages of life
1. Basic cellular (sphere-specific classification: panactiva) – must be continuously nourished to function; volcanic outlets in seas are sources of silicon material
2. Complex cellular (sphere-specific classification: electractiva) – development of semiconductor-based short-term energy storage; still aquatic
3. Basic multicellular (sphere-specific classification: sealines) – small electric nerve impulses that direct discrete, basic motion; still aquatic
4. Advanced multicellular aquatic (sphere-specific classification: fishtubes) – carry small quantities of undigested silicon; more complex motion; sexual intercourse (leads to death)
5. Advanced multicellular amphibian-w/c (sphere-specific classification: ambhiworms) – carry significant quantities of undigested silicon; high body pressure; function in crust briefly
6. Advanced multicellular crust-dwelling (sphere-specific classification: largeworms) – carry large quantities of undigested silicon; feed on volcanic outlets inland; sex performed near volcano (hence heat an aphrodisiac) w/o death, w/ hibernation
Important notes to this point: don’t eat other organisms (not worth it – no efficient long-term energy storage); peaceful; not agile (since they’re underground); short day allows this inefficient energy-storage mechanism with long sleep-times; no plants (no photosynthesis), fungus very dangerous (continuously deplete energy supply); fungus release oxygen and are immune to it (so corpses, for instance, are very dangerous); pregnancy prolonged yet much of basic growth happens after birth (to save energy); lifespan is long (due to energy-saving); sounds made at a very low frequency; grey skin (colour doesn’t make a difference in a transparent thing deep underground, but grey skin is what you get without pigments there)
7. Advanced multicellular cave-dwelling (sphere-specific classification: cavemammals) – store undigested silicon externally; maintain high body press when exposed to gaseous env; much more advanced cognition, nerve impulses (thus even greater need for energy storage); very violent, carnivorous; some members have electric weapons that numb nerve endings; some members have magnetic weapons (themselves immune due to metal outer-skin); somewhat more agile
8. Advanced multicellular hominid (sphere-specific classification: caveapes) – advanced cognition, tribalism; not particularly agile and don’t have electric weapons
9. Human-like (sphere-specific classification: cavemen) – weakest of the caveapes; most advanced cognition almost at tribal human level; spoken language etc.
Important notes to this point: mouth (soft point of body, precision well-developed to maximise efficiency of silicon consumption) plays role of fingers; in caveapes, particularly in cavemen, this is long and trunk/snout-like… extremely sharp and strong needlepoint-like teeth too, to destroy the thick skins
Stages of civilisation
Pre-civilisation: common religious customs worship the volcano as a supreme god and sex as a divine calling; heterogametic-dominant; usage of diamond tools with mouth
Agricultural: began with mammal-farming; no need for metal-based ages as diamond weapons are used; cave-boring; writing done with mouth; cities; even more war-like
Industrial: standard industrial processes; particular focus on anti-fungal medicine; extreme danger of war (CURRENT STATE: AGRICULTURAL TRANSITIONING TO INDUSTRIAL)
EFFECTIVE WEAPONS AGAINST:
· Oxygen – ends breathing, turns the organisms into glass
· Water – makes Silicon-Silicon chains unstable
· Low temperature – freezes bodily functioning (STUN)
· Low pressure – evaporates most of the organism, leaving silicon dust
· Strong, varying magnetic fields – disrupts nerve impulses in multicellular life
· Anything else should be directed into mouth as skin is very hard
